Dentist - part 3

On Monday, I went to the dentist. He's a great guy and a good doctor who knows how to show his patients a good time. He has a coffee bar, 2 great Swiss Mountain dogs that will sit next to you during the appointment and a massage chair so you can relax before your experience. This time, I took 2 sleeping pills and secured my ride after the 2 hour appointment. The task: carve out the silver fillings in my back 3 top teeth and fill them with porcelain, an "inlay." After about 10 minutes of Novocain, my face began to swell and then slide down. Perfect, I am numb!! Then, the fitting of the mouth piece to hold my tong back and suck out any spit that my form. Next, the doctor used a round metal sander to hollow out my teeth. It was like a Nascar race in my head. Then, pictures were taken of the cavernous teeth and porcelain inlays were made. Great, a quick nap while that is being done. Finally, mis-fittings, quick drying cement, the misplacing of one of my new teeth, a scavenger hunt and... whalla - 3 new teeth. By now the dogs were snoring, my amazing friend and ride was shopping at the Briargate shops and I had banked 4 hours in the "chair!" Beauty is really a bitch sometimes, but friends are always there with rides and Tai food recovery.
