Pilates? Really?

This is my second blog about exercise in recent days. I was really thinking about making it a "thing." I would just go around town, dropping in on different workouts and report back - so you don't have to. This week - Pilates.
I noticed at my Yoga place (downtown location) that they were also having pilates, sweet. So, I gathered my stuff (mat and water - I am a quick learner) and headed early to a 9:30am class. Uh... the door was locked and the teacher pulled up at 9:30. We finally got ready (a full room) by 9:45. To make it short, this was not pilates. It was a thong leotard wearing, tennis shoe jumpin' ball bouncing, jazzercise class. No warm up and plenty of TALKING out loud during class. I suffered through while sweatin' to the 80's. Yes friends, jumping jacks and sit ups while "Welcome to the Jungle" is played full blast! Talk about disrupting the spirit of the Yoga room. My rating: "Don't go" unless you want to re-live an 8th grade girls sleep over where you could possibly learn things you aren't ready for.

I had a totally different take on my Jazzercise experience this year. You didn't think the jumping around was fun at all?
