Today, Jeopardy Champ (Scott) posted a quote from Mother Teresa on his Facebook page. The quote reads,
"If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten
that we belong to each other."
This quote made me smile as I remembered my anxiety over finances this week. I had forgotten that my evolution to a married life, or whatever life, involves being a part of others and they, a part of me. We are woven together in community so that we become stronger, so that we grow deeper and in this case, more peaceful. It is futile to "do it" by yourself, whatever the "it" is. In many cases, the "it" is management of life, growth, thought and action. It is understanding concepts, decisions and values, and it is trust. Mother Teresa was a woman with solid core purpose and gentle hands. But make no mistake, her words could be blunt and transforming, as this one quote is. I had forgotten that we belong to each other. I got mixed up in fear when what I needed to do was ask for clarification and help.
