As a church musician and minister to people, I keep my eyes and ears open to the different aspects of church need. I check the web sites and follow any leads concerning ministry openings. I hope for new and exciting opportunities to see music in the church and lead worship. That is why I am really becoming clear and in tune with the needs of the Emerging Church; a growing idea with rounded and slippery edges. In any respect, new and exciting.
But it never fails that I find a church needing a good, Contemporary, "in the box" kind of "guy" to lead on Sunday... and that's OK! To give you some sort of insight into my regularly viewed job description, see below (an actual posted list of qualifications).
My question to you is: "Will they know who Jesus is, if their leader fits this box?"
