Walking on the bridge

Tonight I was talking to a new romantic interest. I hope to think of a name for him soon so don't jinx it for me, it has only been one meeting. While we were talking on the phone he wanted to ask me a pretty deep question. Before he asked, he commented that he was about to "walk out on a bridge." I think he had a rope bridge that spanned the Royal Gorge, in mind. I assured him that there was no such bridge and he could ask anything he wanted.

This is what God does. He welcomes scary questions because they lead to deeper "knowing" and opportunity to walk closer to Him. God's bridge is Jesus. To some, Jesus looks as insecure as the rope bridge over the Royal Gorge. To others, He is still a rickety passage over the Missouri River. But to those who have found a personal relationship with Him, they don't see a bridge at all. Jesus is the River, the Gorge, the rope, the passage and the guide to get you across. He is the Way.

The question mentioned above is not important to my point but the trust started in this one exchange between the man and I.... will be remembered.
