Recently the word Quirky came up in conversation as an adjective to describe myself. I tried to site examples but couldn't really think of any. So, today I took a test to reveal my quirkiness factor... it is 62% (ok, this is an example). Synonyms for quirky include: bizarre, eccentric, unnatural, curious and singular. Yes, I am a performer but choose to find a dark quiet place to think. Yes, for the sake of conversation, I will interject a controversial idea. And yes, I feel that I am "strikingly unconventional." While I don't think I would ever become a Dog psychologists (on Quirky job list)
I am a music minister who spends a lot of time planning music in a barely sun lit corner of a darkened choir room for a Presbyterian congregation. Is this what "gets the guys?" Is this how I channel my quirky energy? Or is this how God finds His most obvious place in my life? Maybe all three...
