The Best of Two Worlds

There is nothing more serene then walking with a farmer in a blooming soybean field. Or driving with my dad in the back 40 of the apple orchard. Things are quiet and still. There is a connection between man and creation, a creation that controls his livelihood and defines his obsessive past time; caring for that field. Fall is just around the corner and most soybean fields in Kansas are looking good. The first apple crop to be ready is the Johnathan! My favorite! It's tart and small and packs a punch of flavor as you feel the juice tingle your jaw.
This morning I awoke thinking about this image. I then thought about my friend Hazel who calls me Metro Prairie in her blog. When asked, she would say, "you have good fashion sense and yet you own farmland in Kansas." Yes, and Yes I do! Maybe that is why my mind turned to the beautiful row after shiny row of shoes @ DSW. (Fall shoe shopping will soon be a must.)
In any case, fall is coming and the farmers will be out.
Please don't forget to thank them.
If you want to polish your soybean insite, check out an article in today's CS Gazette: http://www.gazette.com/articles/city_39077___article.html/stark_king.html

This is a perfect Sarah analogy. I hope you found something wonderful in the fall footwear crop.
