New Start

Even though the events, thoughts and processes of our everyday continue - we can always choose one day to plunge a stake in the sand. A raw wooden stake with the word - "Today!" carefully written on one its 4 sides.

Today I start a new class. Today I begin enjoying my friendships. Today I enjoy the beauty of God's presence. Or, today.... I release doubt and guilt.

Tomorrow is that day for me. I will start a new quarter of school and the second half of my Spring lessons. For the first time in my life I am looking forward to Summer. Not because it is warm and filled with pool BBQ's but because I am getting closer to goals that were set 3 years ago. Every quarter - is one quarter closer to seeing a brighter light at the end of my tunnel.

Take a cue from me and carefully write the one or two words on a wooden stake... and plunge it into the sand. Doing so gives energy and a new reason to hope for Summer.... or which ever season you are looking forward to.
