Surprise prunes

....part II of the prune blog:

These days, there is a sweet joy in my spirit when I crave vegetables. And when I think about the time in college when my friend Beth and I enjoyed prunes, I remember that same joy. I guess the point I want to make about "surprise prunes" is this: we don't always know how perfect.... one...bite...of a sweet prune can be. When we come across a friend or stranger that makes us smile, is this the prune? I must say, yes. A romantic adventure or special connection to a new friend doesn't need to be as decadent as cookie dough or as toxic as alcohol. It can be simple, like a prune. A prune that makes you smile to think that something good for you is giving you joy.

There is something good for me...and it is giving me joy. Thanks be to God.
